Lazy June So Far
After my big month in May, I seriously feel like I need a tuneup after all this time off the bike this month. The first week was just laziness or recovery from the end of May, and the second week was full of sickness. I managed to squeeze in a couple rides, but the milage total is pretty sad!
The only rides of note I’ve done were an extremely-abortive trip out around Lexington on Tuesday (5 miles, seriously! It got dark and I had ramen-related appointments to attend to!), followed by a more substantial 18 mile ride with Wattage the following Saturday (up to Summit Rd. and back, nice little loop but I wanted to ride longer!).

The next day was the Tamarancho race, which I staffed, but got to ride a few miles (up the fire road to the start/finish, as well as most of a lap of the race course).
Then, almost a week passes and today I do a quick Los Gatos loop (Blossom Hill, Shannon, and Kennedy, so about 15.3 miles with some climbs, got it done at a 17mph average which is okay I guess).
Tomorrow Lu and I are going to race Lake Sonoma, and I hope to get a long road ride in on Sunday. Come Tuesday, there’s the SJBC training crit, which Eric has been doing… Plus the Laguna Seca fun ride on Wednesday. Let’s see how many of these I can actually follow through on…
