(click through for the set) 5/2/2009 - Oh Right: Coolest 24(8) Hours I came in thinking my teammate Mark and I would do 4 laps each at about an hour pace. After my first lap came in at 1:40 I started to wonder about that. Mark’s rear mech went out after a couple miles on his first lap, but he handled it. On my second lap, I burned through the rest of my brake pads and limped to the finish in around 2 hours. Mark changed bikes and went out again, but after coming back we were both physically and mechanically done with bike riding, and got down to the business of drinking for the rest of the race.
